Toddler Program 12-24 Months

Our Active Learning Curriculum will encourage toddlers to explore and learn through songs, games, and age appropriate activities.  At this age, your child is like a sponge.  They are using their senses to learn by listening, touching, tasting, and seeing the world around them.  They are learning to tell you what they want and many times they know more than we think.

Our caregivers will nurture each child and help them learn how to share with others as well as form relationships and make friends.  As your child grows, we feel it is imperative to teach them how to adjust in every area of their growth.  Simple learning centers will be introduced to encourage dramatic play with dress up, practical living with kitchen and tool centers, and reading and language skills through shelves of books that bring their imagination to life.  Caregivers will read and talk to the children, use puppets and songs, as well as point out interesting things to spark the child’s interests in enhancing language development.  Since so many things are changing in a toddler’s world, many times they will become frustrated or moody when trying to express themselves.  Caregivers will work with each child to help them understand and accept their challenges.

Please feel free to consistently communicate with your caregiver on the development of your child.  This is very important to us and we look forward to working with you to see your child reach their potential in this transitional time.
