3 Year Old Program

The preschool age child is now very inquisitive and wants to know “why” and “how”.  Because they are learning to ask questions about the world around them, and are striving to make their point clear, language development is an essential part of the learning process.  The A Beka curriculum will be used and there will be daily lessons in language development.  This will be done through activities using stories, songs, puppets, flannel boards, and language charts.  They will daily interact with Button Bear and Amber Lamb, who are puppets that will come to life in their story times.  Caregivers will teach the children to recognize all the letters of the alphabet, recognize numbers 1 – 15, and count 1 – 30.  They will also learn through coloring, painting, and gluing which will help to develop their manual skills.  Throughout the day, children will have hands on learning in the different learning centers.  They will explore and imagine through dress up, they will learn practical living skills from the kitchen and tool centers, and develop a love for reading from the many books in the reading center.  Caregivers will work closely with them to develop social skills which involve sharing, caring and respecting others, and working as a team.  Our goal is to prepare your child with a firm foundation to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
